Rebecca Martensz is a London/Surrey based photographer, specialising in portraiture and documentary style photography.
Rebecca’s work looks at identity through the forms of portraiture and documentary. Her portraiture work gets the sitter to think about who they believe they are and how they portray themselves. Her documentary work looks into her family and their lives – including her own. She looks at the influences the people who have brought her up have on her and the differing types of relationships her family members have. Thus, Rebecca’s themes revolve around the ideas of family, time, its passing and identity. These traits allow Rebecca to show how time changes ourselves as well as our environment.
Rebecca also enjoys corporate and wedding photography and has completed projects of varying natures to showcase her abilities. This exposure has enabled her to hone the skills acquired at university and apply them in a professional setting.
